Episodes 2 and 3 quickly followed, covering the remainder of the Morgan Arc and the first episode of the Buggy Arc on April 16th and 25th respectively. It covered the first episode of the One Piece animé. After reviewing Munjeej's work, Uraby210 appointed him as head under-scriptwriter, and also (at the former's request) cast him as Usopp.Įpisode 1 was released on YouTube on April 12th. Season 2 has been very good about the pacing for the most part, and the CGI is cut down a lot except in the most recent fight, making it an alright watch, but season 1 is just so bad I can't recommend to anyone to watch it. I have actually ranted about this prior, but the main point of my rants is this: Arifureta would go from a dreadful failure to an okay to good show and adaptation if they give it the Re:Zero Director's cut adaptation and use this chance to take out most of the god awful CGI, show us more low-key stuff that was skipped, and give us an episode 0 showing us how his class treated Hajime as well as them adjusting to life on this new world (which I don't think we've ever gotten- an episode 0 where we just focus on Hajime's time with his class as well as his relationship to him eating the monster meat would be such a good addition it would fix a lot of the flaws I feel like). If you really want to compare two isekais I would probably say Arifureta and Shield Hero are the two most direct comparisons, especially with the popularity and success of Shield Hero and the terrible adaption of Arifureta. One is a powertrip revenge/edgy fantasy and the other is a growing up and growing as a character story. I feel like there is no way these two are the correct ones to say the case of why one succeeds and the other fails-they are just too different, even if they are both fantasy isekais.
